Sportsmen's Warehouse / Primers

Sportsmen's Warehouse has been advertising their new store opening
here in Erie Pa. Being only 4 miles up the road I went up to see what's
on the shelves. First to my surprise is, it was the old Field and Stream
facilities they bought out. Store is being reconfigured a bit and people are
working on shelving. Skids of product line the isles. Well to be short, I
asked a girl working on the shelves to point me to powder and primer.
She walked me over to where most of it will be by next week !! What I
did find was 12 boxes of WLR's, 11 boxes of Remington large rifle magnum,
and 18 boxes of CCI 250's and nothing else. Pricing was as good as it gets.
At $28 bucks for the WLR's I snagged 2. It's my most used primer. Kind of nice
just paying the 6% sales tax and no added HAZ......So if your near Erie, it's
something......I'll be back up there this coming week as more shelves get
loaded...... I'm thinking since this brand is new to our area, and the amount of
shooters we have, they'll want to make a good impression.

Our Field & Scream here in Altoona, PA. changed over to a Sportsmans Warehouse a few months ago.
Walking into the store, you'd never know it.
Still a ton of overpriced Field & Scream items.
Still have nothing that i'm searching for.

Much like when it was Field & Scream, i quit walking into the place.

Same deal with the one in Washington, PA. Major disappointment! The Sportsman’s Warehouse that I visit in Tennessee is awesome.

Yes Sir !! Never impressed me either, and apparently no one else.
Even before Covid, I seemed like I was the only one in the store !!

I'll see what shakes over the next week and thru the Holidays.
Yinz in the other Pa. stores seeing any Primers ??

To be honest, i haven't bothered looking in the Sportsmans Warehouse.
Local wholesaler/distributor had zero large rifle magnum primers.
I'm hearing reports of primers & RL26 within 2hrs drive from me.

Powder ,primers and bullets all but gone in the Medford store. Looks like a rummage sale that went bad......lol

Tucson AZ store is empty. Has been since covid started. No primers, some powder, some bullets. 9mm? Ha Ha.

The above primers were gone within the first 2 days. Today on
the shelves is 12 boxes of Fed 210's and 15 boxes of Fed Match
small rifle primers. No pistol primers as of yet, and no powder
either. Store manager says powder will start to be stocked before
the end of the month. He also mentioned that rifle primers are in
the supply chain but has no good outlook for pistol primers. I did
not bother to ask about shotgun primers but there were none of
those on the shelves either......I also noticed there was no reloading
eguipment (presses, powder dispensors etc, etc) The old company
had a good isle of just about everything RCBS made. Also more
pallets of unpacked goods in the isles. No hazard stickers on them
though. Decent prices on everything that is stocked.

where is that

Rancho Cordova CA had FedAR SR and CCI SR Benchrest. Limit, one, 1,000 primer box per customer. The AR primers I purchased were $27/1,000 Not hardly any shortage mark up at all. The CCI however were $42/1,000.

How long ago was that? I can be there in 45 minutes!

CCI SR Benchrest primers for $42/1000? That seems like a great price. BR4's are usually over $50/1000 -> $59/1000 @ PV (if they have them)....

I called and they said they came in on Sunday. They put them out and "Poof"! There they weren't

Last BR2's I bought were from PV. Over $50 bucks plus add in
tax, shipping and Haz !! No more of that shit !!......At least now. I
can get some primers and have enough left over to walk next door
and get a plate of Cajuns and a tall boy. ;)
