I built a 6BR using a PTG reamer and I'm very happy with the good fit to the Lapua brass. My fired brass looks good as new without the usual bulge above the extractor grove that I get after firing in my factory chambered rifles. Now I'm thinking I would like to re-chamber my 22-250 with a custom reamer to fit new Winchester brass and with a shorter than standard throat. Would I need to buy custom dies or would small base dies work? What's the best way to go about something like this? Send some dummy rounds to PTG loaded in new brass and the bullets I plan to use? Is what I'm looking for a minimum spec reamer?
