Splat factor on a buck.

Friend took this it was against the tree he hit it with a Hornady SST 12 Gauge 300 grain slug at 2000 fps. It turned around and walked where shown and keeled over.

Agreed this buck had his heart and lungs explode , really no wasted meat, it will hang in his barn skinned for one week before cutting up.

I had a similar blood trail from a Doe that I shot with a 223. I was shooting 75 Amax @ 2850. The entry and exit were about the same size ( not very big ) but the blood was everywhere like in your picture. I stopped shooting the Amax for deer as this was not a typical result. I never lost a deer with them but sometimes there was no blood trail at all.
