Sphur scope mounts

Currently I am running 3 of them on different cartridges including a 338 Lapua with out any issue. None of them are the quick release version that just came out a about 6 months ago. They work out well, I removed and installed with no shift in the point of impact. I do use the bowler rosin like they recommend in the instructions. I run NF ATACR 5-25 scopes with no sign of movement.

Most dealers sell them at retail only unless you find a demo.

This is apparently the move of the future, sell everything at retail with no competition for sales at all. Just like the airlines do now, all seats on all airlines are the same price within their price structure.

Although while doing a quick search, I found that Midway USA has a sale going on right now on certain Spuhr mounts. If you can use the models on sale you can save some dollars.

I have a couple sets but I do not use the rosin and have not encountered any problems as of recently. If you're trying to make weight for competition, the Spuhr can be a little problematic. If weight is no concern, they are a wonderful solution to scope mounts.

Best.

I run one and I think it's great. Is it worth the money?? I think that's subjective. You can get similar performance from a set of Nightforce rings but I do like some of the features of the Spuhr. Integrated bubble level is nice although I can't easily see it without shifting my head. I like that the rings are low profile and don't interfere with my view of the turrets and parallax. They have some nice, well thought out features.

The reason you're seeing the same price everywhere is because the manufacturer has a Minimum Advertised Price in place. I think Mile High Shooting is the main distributor. Call them up and see if they'll give you a deal (they're giving them away with the purchase of high end optics at the moment). I've seen them go for $250-$350 used online in really good shape.

I've had one on an AIAX for about three years. It is a very well thought out and never had any issue with it not going back to zero when removed and reinstalled. The bubble level is a nice feature and the scope leveling tool is genius. The con is they are very expensive.
My other AI rifle wears the Aadmount. It costs a LOT less money and has provided me with the very same duty as the Spuhr. It is American-made and Jon is a great guy to deal with. I wouldn't buy a Spuhr until I took a good hard look at Aadmount's website.
