I have no idea. But it’s in excellent condition . And the serial numbers match on the action and the bolt.

I'm fairly certain that was the Siamese Mauser, not the 7.7Jap.

The Siamese Mauser ran that oddball rimmed cartridge... 8x52R? (Please correct me if I'm wrong)

The 7.7Jap is rimless and significantly smaller rim than the 45-70Govt.

BTW, that looks like a pretty good deal. If I weren't four builds deep right now, I'd jump on this one. The 7.7Jap is a fun round to load if you have the older loading manuals.

An Ariska action is not a Mauser action. They are similar, but they are definitely not the same.
