Went out behind my farm tonight near a cedar swamp that borders X-mas tree plantation, and good shooting for 250 yards in each direction. I set up my buddies Foxpro FX3 and found my spot under a nice low White Pine. I started with a coyote locator and the whole pack lit up 100-150 yards directly upwind of me, I continued with challenge calls and then my favorite "Lucky Bird"...brought 2 beautiful yotes running right past the call looking for that bird. I shot the largest one at about 130 yards and it got firmly planted into the ground. The smaller and darker dog ran back into the X-mas trees, I squeaked like crazy using my lips and I'll be damned if the darker yote didn't come running back out into the clearing and stop...BANG! The second coyote also instantly dropped in its tracks. The first one was a 39lb male almost white, and the second one was a female with a very dark coat. Neither dog had an exit wound but when moved their chest sounded like it was filled with water...both of the hearts and lungs were litterally destroyed and the second shot went through the shoulder joint and still continuing with enough momentum to liquify its insides. I am a fan of the TNT for coyote killers, in a 22 250 they hit like a sledge hammer and blow through bone, without an exit wound! These bullets are not the most accurate bullets in my arsenol but they have more than adequate hunting accuracy, Speer has been building top notch bullets for a long time and these are top shelf for on game performance. These will also turn a crow into a vaporized mess or pink snow and feathers.
