The game kings are a much more accurate bullet than anything Speer makes!… but it’s a cup and draw bullet same ast the Speer btsp the Grandslam however is a true hunting bullet like a or similar to a partition there bondedI had hoped for grand slams because it could dual purpose for elk in the rare case I needed it for that out of 2506. As stated accubonds are real hard to find/don’t want to pay 1$/bullet when found.
I see blue collar has 117 gamekings. Anyone ever used these? I know deer would be great.
I’ve seen Berger 133s but don’t think I could stabilize.
I shoot them in my .338 and there a excellent elk bullet so is the Grand SlamI got some 120gr Partition for my 257 Roberts AI.
They should perform well on elk sized game.
I've uses Gameking bullets in many different calibers/cartridges and without exception they've always been very accurate and deadly on big game. This includes semi-spitzer, HPBT, SPBT and SP Gameking bullets.I had hoped for grand slams because it could dual purpose for elk in the rare case I needed it for that out of 2506. have these been mostly deer? I may just develop a load with the gamekings until other bullets become available.I've uses Gameking bullets in many different calibers/cartridges and without exception they've always been very accurate and deadly on big game. Yes I should of said Gameking bullets work great on deer. Not sure about Elk because I've yet to hunt them. The .243" cal 85 gr HPBT Gameking I used for both deer and smaller critters. Pretty much all deer were shot within 200 yards, thus it makes no difference to me what BC the bullet has. I've always liked the performance of the Semi-Spitzer Gameking and the SP bullets. Hornady Interlock SP / SPBT also a great bullet. But I always gravitate towards the Sierra's because they're always easy to find a very accurate load.I agree the 120 partition would have no problem on elk. Yes I figured they’d be good on accuracy and deer which is why the grand slam sounds good. It’d be normal ranges 2-300 yards so nothing extreme. But rather have more than not enough.

The only 25 cal I used for deer was a 25-06 with the 117 spbt GK #1630. distance was right around 150 yards. It came apart in the vitals, broadside shot. Shrapnel and base of bullet found behind offside hide. Gave me the idea these are not the best for short range at higher velocities. Deer folded on the spot, but I wouldn't use them on elk. They didn't seem tough enough. How far out have you taken them in .25 cal? Exits or not? I had a 115 Partition lodge in a rear quarter of a large deer but it was ~20-24" of penetration.

I've used the Speer Hot-cor and Grand Slam on deer as well. And judging by their performance, they should be excellent for Elk as well.
Thinking about it... there are SO MANY good big game bullets nowadays, it makes it harder to pick just one
Gotcha. I don’t have a lot of experience with Sierra but it may just need to be a dedicated deer rifle and the gamekings would be great it sounds like. I hope Speer will make their way back soon to test out with some rl26. There are so many like you said, just need to pick one and stick with it.Yes I should of said Gameking bullets work great on deer. Not sure about Elk because I've yet to hunt them. Not speaking of gamekings but I popped an elk with an accubond at 300 mushroomed perfectly got a lung lodged under offside hide. How far out have you taken them in .25 cal? Exits or not? I had a 115 Partition lodge in a rear quarter of a large deer but it was ~20-24" of penetration.
