Special Forces?

Something for all of those guys that make all those claims about themselves, go to: ProfessionalSoldiers.com and check them out before you believe everything some of these guys say.

To those of you real Green-Beenie, Snake-eaters out there, a Crisp Salute to you in your tattered uniform, and shave-less face from an old-leg who hates fakes of all kinds.

SFC_commo, may years ago I bought a copy of B.G. Burketts book "Stolen Valor" I was amazed how many individuals had claimed to be something they were truly not.

Yes, a lot of Keyboard "Rambo's". My son was a Ranger for 8 years, graduating class 7-87 at Ft. Benning, of course. A few years ago he saw a guy arrive at the rifle range driving a pickup with the Ranger plate on the front bumper. Trying to be friendly, he asked the guy what graduating class he was in, and the guy said " I don't remember". The date you graduate from the Rangers, Special Forces, Seals, etc. is a day in your life that you will never forget, like your birthday. The guy was an absolute liar! :(

I was at a smallbore match in El Monte, California in 2002 listening to some blowhard tell a 16 year old kid (who the blowhard brought to the match) that he was in 2 C-130's and 4 helicopters that were shot down. I started asking him questions and he told me that he was a Marine and his MOS was "blackops". There never has been a "blackops" MOS in the Marine Corps. I told him that I spent 8 1/2 years in Marine Recon and asked him his name. He did not give me his name, but he packed his equipment, drove off and never saw him at another match.

Stolen Valor was an eye opening book for me and I recommend it.

Check out veriseal.org for more posers and ways to spot them.

The real ones who have been there, rarely talk about it. They tend to keep a low profile, and in doing so, show their character. They are the ones you would follow through the toughest of times.

LOL......hey SFC COMMO, I haven't heard the term "Leg" for 50 years. The Airborne guys called me that so much that I began to think it was my real name and started signing it on pay slips. Yeah, I was in when we still had brown boots and Ike jackets.
I hate fake anything.

Was at my gun club several years ago, several people were looking at a photo album of underwater photo's of TRUCK LAGOON some very interesting stuff asked the owner of the album who i have shot with in many club matches and known for several years where he learned to scuba dive answer was i was a NAVY SEAL and had the tats to prove it he was the REAL DEAL.
