What kind of work do you need done?Anyone happen to have suggestions for a good gunsmith in Southwest Mississippi?
Preferably within an hour or two of McComb or Gloster. Also any shooting clubs in the same area ?
Thanks
I got a bubbaed mosin that needs to be recrowned and a 30carbine I want re worked blued ect. That and honestly would love to just have a local gunsmith I could go to a talk with. Short on funds at the moment hopefully next year I'll be able to afford some nicer stuff. Some rebarreling or bluing at leastWhat kind of work do you need done?

Worth a try.Man I don't know anybody that far down the cut. And the ones that I do know of I'm not sure if they do that sort of work- at least the reworking and bluing old milsurp. Crowning prob wouldn't be bad I think.
It's actually something I've been looking into lol. Trying to get a new job right now so I can get my old shed re done into a little shop . Nothing serious but would like to have a lathe and some other things where I could some basic stuff.Sounds like a business opportunity for a young gun enthusiast! Nudge....nudge...!

Not to mention my GF dad left me all his reloading and gun stuff when he passed earlier this year and along with it was a ton of books on gunsmithing. Ended up he was doing some kind of mail in class for a while and was working his way to be one but , family and what not ... Anyway think it would be nice to put all those bust too some use .
Dont think I'll even be building any award winning guns but would be fun washing time trying to polish up some turd![]()
I'll second that! Really nice guy, likes Hardees biscuits and gravy.Billy Tearce in Utica does great work!!
Don’t let jacked up bluing affect your love for shooting a gun. One of my Remington 700 rifles has a blued barrel that is so worn that I think the bluing must have been crazy thin to begin with, but it shoots great and I wouldn’t dare replace it. Sure rebluing it would be nice but not necessary for a hunting rifle that spends a significant amount of time hunting in inclement weather.I got a bubbaed mosin that needs to be recrowned and a 30carbine I want re worked blued ect.
