Sometimes going alone....(thermal vids)

Sometimes hunting alone = better results.
1st 3 coyotes were down within 20 min of getting to the ranch.
4th one was about an hour later, I did have 1 run off which I hate when they are not dead on the spot.
Darn cow that was blocking me for bit when the 1st coyote showed up dinking in the field, but cleared for a quick kill.
2nd & 3rd ones from a pack that started their "lets get a hunting" howling/barking a few minutes after I shot. I high tailed it across the area by 300 yards from the 1st one as I knew some coyotes would follow the creek as usual, then come out and head to a dead pile 2 miles off. Just as I was sitting down here they already are.
Thwaaap, the 1st one drops when it comes out and heads up the finger, then the other pops up wondering what she just heard and sits a second...Thwaap down she rolls. 2 more are in the field behind these by 400 yards or so flying out of there. 4th coyote was a mile from this spot in the same drainage & I saw it dinking around, but think it heard the truck. Guy just would not drop, 3 shots and they all were in him, tough guy.
1 male had great fur, 1 female rubbed good, 2F, just naked & mangy as heck.

Based on the base magnification, I would say it is the Pulsar XP38.

how do you get set up in total dark? or are you set up earlier/daylight, waiting...?

Yes all at night. Set up is the same as daytime, walk in to a spot set up & call or sit & wait till they start funneling through the usual drainages like the spots in the vids. That is one area they are always in just at dark so I try to get there just at dusk to meet them. When done I will move to other areas as I would in the daytime.
