Something Special Happened in Virginia in 2024

KC Young would surely be smiling at what unfolded in Virginia this year. Despite fierce competition and tough conditions, the regular shooters at Blackcreek Gun Club in Mechanicsville, VA, and Fairfax Rod & Gun Club in Manassas, VA, set a new standard. Their extraordinary efforts led them to win 4 out of 6 IBS national score awards, Tack Driver V (the de facto outlaw benchrest match of the year), and the top 3 spots in the run up to the IBS Score Rookie of the Year.

These achievements are even more remarkable considering it was not just the result of a single shooter, gunsmith, or combination of components, but a disparate group that simply drove one another to new heights.
