I've had an old one of the Gitzo's like this for over 30yrs and have had everything on it, 35mm W/600mm lens and up to 8X10 view cameras..it's the only photography item that has not been sold or traded. Gitzo is the top of the line for tripods. I was reading a post on another forum about what tripod to use and just looked on ebay and saw this. If you shoot bench this is the tripod to have. It's old but it is a rock steady for any optics you put on it. It will out live you too. For those of you looking for new tripods to put you spotting scope on this would be a great buy if you can get it for $225 or less. And no it's not mine..I already have one. Just heads up. Oh, just remember your scope is only as good as what you mount it on!! Also Gitzo is a life time warranty but you wont need it.
