Some Old Freeland Tubes

I was not 100% sure where to list this at so, Ill start here! A friend of mine asked if I could rework some old Freeland Tube sights that he acquired. When I got them they were in a lot worse shape than I thought. Took and worked some magic on em...

Here are a few before and after pics. I have not assembled them so my pics are of the sights in assembled.

Thoughts?

Nice work. Rediscovering shooting technology (sights, scopes, tuners, etc.) from the 50's and 60's is cool. For example, a spring loaded loading ramp on a Remington 37 was very clever.

"a spring loaded loading ramp on a Remington 37"

I'd like to hear more about that if possible.

It is installed just behind the barrel at the bottom of the receiver; very nicely machined. A spring pushes the loading ramp in line with the chamber. When the bolt closes it moves down out of the way. Whoever designed it was clever; simple and clean.
