So where is Nightforces Super Scope?????????

Talked to a fellow shooter today at a match who hangs out on the forum and he had previously talked to the NF reps at the big NRA show in Pittsburgh this spring about this very subject. They told him "don't hold your breath". After seeing more than a few NF scopes (BR) screw up as far as adjustment errors and not adjusting where they are supposed to this season, maybe they need to rethink their position on their scopes. In my mind they have done nothing to improve or change the BR series in at least a decade. And there are problems out there with them that are not build date related and are all over the board. This is what i have seen in a full season this year and i am not flaming them and i do not want to start a flaming thread as 4 of my rifles wear NF scopes in some shape or form, but one of mine (12-42 BR) also is acting weird. take it for what it is but IMHO Nightforce needs to move up to stay with the shooters. Wonder how one can find out about their return rate and what was wrong with them?

After waiting for over a year for 1/8 adj on NSX I sure would not hold my breath. Maybe sometime in 2013.

I had to wait a long time for my 1/8" click 12 X 42 NXS as well. I am definitely pleased with the scope and would wait again.

I have two NF scopes. A 8-32 NXS and a 12-42 BR. Both scopes track without a hitch 1st time every time, BUT I hate the 1/8" moa clicks on the BR series. Both scopes have NP-R2 reticles and I'd gladly trade away the BR series for another NXS of the same power range. Everything I have in both optics and iron sights are .250 MOA, this one piece of equipment is just a distraction to me while shooting. Having said that, the quality is second to none.

I, too , hate the 1/8 MOA adjustments. I would prefer the .1mrad or .33 MOA with 30 MOA per revolution. I guess for a pure target scope, the finer adjustments are fine. The ULTIMATE scope for me would be a 4-30x, .1mrad adjsts, 30+ MOA per revolution with a zero stop, side focus and under 28 Oz. Am I asking too much??

They are still having issues with getting stuff from japan. This will go one for a while. Japan is having lots of problems with getting back on track. Not to mention that nuclear plant causing many residual issues.

They have an excuse for everything. Too many Gov orders. Too many regular orders… whatever they want to say. They make a good product but their price point is starting to creep into the range where you might as well get a USO for a few hundred more.

Finally saw some prints on the new Nightforce dubbed "The Beast".

Appears to be more of a military item 5.5-25X56 with some new crazy elevation adjustments.130 MOA per revolution. Nothing we are used to by the looks of things. Crazy price too, rumored to be in the $3600.00 range.
May see it at Shot, maybe not.

Even if I were interested it's WAAAAAYYYYY out of my price range.

They better not. They have already upped the price this summer because of the back log. They said with the back log you will be getting them after the year so we are raising the price now.

With that said they normaly raise the price at the first of every year.
