So I think I messed up my small flash holes by using a die with standard depriming rod.....

Ill have to find them to cull them. They are mixed in with "good " ones. I figure I'll use the standard decap pin to find em as they would probably just fit through the hole while a good smaller hole won't at all (at least I hope I can find them this way).
You should be able to visually discern the difference.

Just for clarification, the case didn’t go completely into die but I thought it was. I was using a Lee collet die, backed way out to start. Then I eased the die down until the press just cammed over. Thought I was camming due to sizing neck, but was actually camming on the decapping pin bottoming in the case and not being able to go through. I don’t cam hard, so I feel there is no issue, however I’ll still keep these 7 separate for fouling.

It takes very little to break a pin in a die if it touches anything.
I would file a small notch in rim to identify them. Matt

Bigger makes a difference. Use them for fouling shots. Mark case head to identify them.

Agree, Use for fouling shots. Don't ruin the rest of them. Light loads for fouling shoots to minimize bore wear. Did you actually enlarge the hole or just jam the pin against the opening. If the primer was removed you had to enlarge the hole.

Put them in a box labeled scrap. Use them to set up annealers, neck turners, oal trimmers, primer pocket uniformers, etc.

It was virgin brass so no primers were in it. The pin stopped at the opening. Magnifying glass shows no evidence of disruption and pin currently won’t enter hole. Hole is still small.
