So I Get This Email

I am selling a rifle on another board.. but i get this email this morning.. What does the concensus of this board think about this?

"
OK. the price Sounds fair to me. I am located in Pennsylvania, and I relocated here 2 weeks ago. I relocated for work. I have other stuffs in my old apartment which I already made arrangement with a moving company to deliver to my new house here. My stuffs includes (refrigerator, gun wardrobe, kitchen items, grand piano, garage items, Big tires, baby stuffs, a Ruger SR40c 9mm, and a WW2 M1 carbine. A FFL dealer from the pick up company will meet with you to do a transfer to him then he will bring the gun to Me and do a transfer to Me, So you don't have to ship it. For the payment, I will be mailing you a cashiers check and I will as well add extra $100 to the asking price if you can hold it for me till check arrives and cashed. I will send you a copy of there FFL, though he would coming to pick up with a hard copy of the FFL so you will apply signatures where necessary. we can work that in due time after payment is through. If this is OK, please get in touch with your name and mailing address to send the cashiers check to. Include your phone # as well so I will be able to contact you for fluent communication. I believe is based on trust. I will be waiting or you reply. Thanks"

I would walk away. I don't need to sell anything that badly. Maybe if you have the money in your hand first. Call and check on the ffl holder first. Why didn't he leave you his number? Sounds just alittle too fishy to me.

If it were me I would get the money first and insist upon shipping to an FFL if in another state. If in-state transfer to who ever is "picking it up" as long as they have a DL from your state.
Sounds bogus.

I wouldn't walk away...I would run away!!! Big deal if he sends a cashier's check. You would still be responsible if the check was no good.

STOP.
When your purchaser of said firearm gets to his destination have him/her contact a local FFL holder & have them send you a copy of their FFL.
Pkge said firearm up & ship to FFL holder address.
FFL will transfer said firearm to individual.

OR
walk away

THIS GUY CAN'T EVEN MAKE A SENTENCE,,,,,, HAHAHA i WON'T TELL YOU ABOUT ENGLISH CLASS..... run run run runaway runrunrunrunnin

I had a "God fearing" buyer that wanted me to trust him, similar words were used. Yeah, right. This is a 100% total SCAM complete with fake cashier's checks and fake FFL copies. Oh and he will also send you a money order if you want. It will also be fake.

Run Forrest, Run!

p.s. If you reply, you will be inundated with scam emails.

Doesn't pass the sniff test.

"My stuffs includes (refrigerator, gun wardrobe, kitchen items, grand piano, garage items, Big tires, baby stuffs, a Ruger SR40c 9mm, and a WW2 M1 carbine." Correct me if I'm wrong, but a Ruger SR40c only comes in .40 S&W. Not 9 mm.

West coast of Africa or Eastern Europe. It's an enterprise that makes BILLIONS from naive Americans every year. Thanks for posting.

Tell him to have his FFL man bring cash and meet you at your bank, so they can run it through to check for counterfeit bills. Only after that, the exchange can occur. Be certain to bring something to read, donuts and an extra large coffee, as you may be waiting awhile.
