Snowbird X-Miss Match, Palm Bay Florida

The NRA has given preliminary approval for the Port Malabar Rifle and Pistol Club's Snowbird X-Miss Match 2008. This is a prone match.

The dates will be Practice Friday Dec 26. Match on Sat the 27th, Sun the 28th, and Monday the 29th.

We got started a little late this year as we had to make some repairs from Tropical Storm Fay and her three feet of water!

There will be four catagories:
Iron Sight Rifle
Service Rifle
Scope Rifle
F-Class

Under each of these there will be the usual classifications, HM, Master, Expert, SS, MK.

There will be a three day overall 1st, 2nd, & 3rd for EACH CATAGORY.

Now how could you ask for more than that??

How about MeMaws Ribs and Chicken on Saturday???

Come on what else can I offer?? How about sunshine and 70 degrees??? Program and entry available at www.PMRPC.com or email me.

HAPPY HANUKKAH!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL & TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!!

Happy New Year too.

Well Snowbirds, if you didn't come down you are missing out. The temp has been in the high 70s and will be through out the Snowbird X-Miss Match. Clear weather for all four days!

I have competitors coming from Michigan, Indiana, North Carolina, Georgia, Ohio, and I think a few from Florida.

There is still some room for last minute check-ins. Please bring $cash$ for your entry fee. Iron Sight rifle and F-Class drew the biggest entries this year. Better watch out scope shooters! Of course with 4 rifle catagories, you will only be competing against similiar types of rifle.

Stay tuned for updates on this site.

Let me try to paste them here. The weather was perfect and I hope every one had a great time.

The scores did not come out in order. My Excel skills are not that great.

Jorge Puignau won the overall irons for the three days.
Kent Reeve was second overall irons.
These two kept us watching as they tied 599-42 and 599-42 on the last day. It was pretty exciting.

We also had a club Record set, a 200-8 in F-Class open shot by Mark Finizio with a 6.5x47 Lapua in a Surgeon action.
