Sniper King wake up call July 1st -July 3rd, 2017
The Unlimited shooters up here in the northwest look forward to this one all year. The Sniper King trophy is the oldest continuously awarded trophy in Benchrest, (since 1944) and over the years many have worked awfully hard to get their name on it, often to no avail.
Please join us July 1st, 2nd ,and 3rd 2017, at Tacoma Rifle and Revolver Club in beautiful Western Washington for the 73rd annual Sniper King match.
We will shoot 10 shot Unlimited groups beginning Saturday at 9am.
This is quite a unique shoot in that the Sniper King trophy is awarded to the guy (or gal) shooting the smallest 10 shot group fired at 200 yds. That one small group is more important to us than the agg, which is just the opposite of the way it usually works. It makes for an interesting shoot.
We also do have an award for the overall agg for the 200 yard 10 shot events call the AGG KING!
During the weekend shooters get 15 chances at 200 yds to get that small 10 shot group, as well as the Sam Wilson Memorial & WA State Unlimited.
Last year, Steve Kostanich won the 2016 Sniper King with a .281." 10 shot group @200 yards!
Steve also won the Agg King Trophy with a .2064" 10 shot agg @ 200.
The Sam Wilson Trophy was taken by Gary Ocock for the 5th year in a row, shooting a great 2 gun agg of .2084.
We will draw for benches Friday evening at 6pm, and begin our first match at 100 yards Saturday at 9am.

Course of fire will be:
Sat July 1st UNL 100/200 10 shot
Sun July 2nd UNL 200/200 10 shot
Mon July 3rd UNL 200/100 5 shot
Entry fees are $45/day
camping available 7 sites with power($15/day), lots of free overflow on a first come first served basis.
cash, checks, card payable to TRRC (at the range office)
Let me know if you will be shooting 1,2 or all 3 days.
Feel free to contact me with any questions.
There will be a family style BBQ on Sunday night after the shooting is done! Everyone is invited, and encouraged to bring a side dish or dessert.
(BTW this is one of the selling points at our range. This is such a great time to visit and bond with our shooting brothers and sisters.
The food is OFF THE HOOK!!!)
