Snap on ratchet

My Daughter gave me this Ratchet today, I’ve never seen one quite like it.
To change from on to off the head pin actually pops out and reverses.

Very different very cool so I thought I would share a couple pictures.

100 th anniversary I believe, I sold a big rollaway a couple years ago including some tools, I didn’t realize until it was too late that I didn’t keep a 1/2 drive ratchet. She’s cleaning out her pawn shop and this just happened to be something she knew I could use.

In the 60' while in high school, I worked on cars a lot. I didn't have my own tools back then and used my dads tools. He had the same style ratchet in 1/2" drive. Everything he had was 1/2" drive. No idea what brand the ratchet was, but it was very easy to switch it out to reverse the drive.

I like to use tools for tools so I’m not sure what to do with the leather box but ratchet’s in with the sockets now..

I haven't either and I was a Snap On dealer in the early 80's. JFrank, your daughter is ok.
