Smokeless Muzzleloader - Hankins built Rem 700.
I bought this years ago from a local guy whose son no longer hunted. He told me it was like new, and it seemed to be. I have shot about 50 shots through the barrel and I've only carried it in the woods only one season. The next year our area allowed straight wall cartridges and this muzzleloader just sits in the safe. I don't want to sell, but I'm thinning the herd, so it's time for this guy to head down the road.
I've only used H4198 powder and accuracy has been fantastic. 3 shots into 1in at 300 yards with Parker 275gr Black Max bullets. At 100yds Hornady XTP shot 5 shots into less than 1in.
Spec's:
Rem 700 stainless action, I was told that it was assembled by Jeff Hankins
26in long 45 Cal stainless barrel - I don't remember the manufacturer. <<<edited to add: I found my conversation with the previous owner and the barrel is a 1-20 Twist Brux>>>
Hankins breech plug and primer modules.
HS Precision stock
After I bought it I had CGC paint the stock and Cerakote the barreled action.
Included in the sale:
- 20moa pic rail (on gun now)
- Hankins Primer modules (couple dozen)
- Parker 275gr Black Max bullets (approx 25)
- Folding ram rod with rotating end
- Bore Guide
- Bullet Sizing Die
- Plastic Powder vials (25)
- Over Barrel Powder Funnel.
Scope and Spuhr ring mount not included, but may be considered for additional $.
This is a Rem 700 action - and must ship to an FFL
