There is an article in Rifle magazine back in 1973 and CCI primers used to run a full page picture ad that usually was on the back of Rifle mag of the group touting their CCI BR4 primers that Mac McMillan used. I will find my copy and have the article and pic displayed here. The year I believe was 1972 when the .009 was shot by Mac McMillan at the Skunk Creek Range, North of Phoenix, Arizona. The event was NBRSA 100 yd LV. The caliber and rifle he was shooting was a .222 Rem, 50 grn McMillan bullets, CCI BR4 prototype primers, not sure the powder, McMillan barrel, McMillan stock, not sure of the action though McMillan made an action too if not probably an XP 100 with a Burns trigger, Leupold 12X scope converted to 24x.
Allot of luck. Some controversy. I shoot with several shooters that were there, George Raymond and Bob Brackney. Some say he did some say not. I believe Neil Knox, who was there, that Mac did.
