Small Time Coyote Record

Me and a couple buddies hunted in a predator contest this past weekend. It was the Rough Country Big Fox Contest.

We won the side pot. Heaviest Coyote 52lbs.

Anytime anyone has some success there are always people that asked, "What call you use? What sound?" Funny story. We hunted from noon on saturday until 6:30 am sunday morning with a foxpro X24 using rabbit distress, woodpecker and MFK pound town. Called up alot of animals. We drove about 65 miles, made one last stand, used a Lucky Duck, lucky cottontail sound and he came right in.

About the same as in fishing Or anything else when someone is winning. What lure you using, what boat, shooting in a tournament. People will tell you that you have to have a certain item to win or be successful. If you win people think that they gotta have what you have to be successful. Can’t kill them if you don’t go or win if you don’t shoot a match. Rant over, that is a big coyote. Wonder how many animals you saved from that big sucker? Congratulations on your win also… Those are some nice cats too…

Once it was determined he was the money winner they cut him open, checked him for artificial weights, etc etc. I asked what was in the stomach and they didn't say what was in it but it was full. There was comments from the crowd about yeah he's full of water and stuff like that and somehow we were cheating. I was like hey, he was the only one weighed in today that touched the ground, they had to shorten the lanyard on the scale dipshit. Rant over.

It never amazes me people can’t say good job, you did well, and go on their way. People automatically think the worst. If you win a match you cheated somehow. All I can say is Good Job! Another deer killer out of the way. I like the cats too. 2 of them are good sized also. Hard to find around here.

I had this porker 2 months back. Came right in but went to leave in a hurry, was very thick desert. I dont have a scal to weigh. He was heavy.
