I'll start off by stating I'm not affiliated in any way with Vortex, I just really like their products and believe they make some of the best scopes on the market in my opinion.
Check out the Vortex Diamondback HP with side adjust parallax.
Depending on magnification your after they make 3-12x42, 4-16x42 & their smallest is a 2-8x32 that is under a foot long.

I've seen the 3-12x42 on sale for $330 and the 4-16 for $360 both have Vortex's lifetime no questions asked warranty.

Still fixed parallax adjustment. I wonder why they don't add that?

because low magnification optics dont need parallax adjustment and they make it bulkier with little benefit

Burris Timberline, small variable with adjustable parallax. I have three of them on my rimfires. Parallax goes down to 7 yards.

One of my hunting scopes is a Bushnell Legends HD 3-9x40 and it had side parallax adjustment.

Just to be clear, it's not a "parallax adjustment," it's a focus adjustment. Parallax is a side effect of having the objective not in focus. At low magnification and small apertures the depth of field is wide enough to mask parallax issues and we're not talking high precision shooting here.
