Small Firing Pin Hole on Remington Bolt Face

I noticed that PTG makes bolt faces with various firing hole diameters. Will the standard firing pin work with these or do you have to get a pin to match? Or is the idea to measure the pin diameter and match the hole to it?

If you are going to the trouble of getting a new bolt, get the small firing pin diameter and the one-piece bolt. You'll thank yourself later. Buy a matching firing pin with the bolt.

Be careful to measure your bolt carefully before ordering. Don't rely on a caliper. Use a micrometer.
IMO, if there's any doubt, it's better to order the smaller diameter. It may not seem like a lot but the difference, if you order the larger diameter bolt, the bolt will bind in its travel (if it fits at all) and you won't be happyl

I've ordered .700" diameter bolts for my Remington 700 and they have worked quite well. If you're shooting small primers as in 6BR, be sure to order the .062" firing pin and bolt.
