Slow day.

Groundhogs were scarce today, very warm humid. beans are high at this place where you can hardly see them. I sat at 100 yards and watched this eat out patch of beans from the pole barn. saw 3 shot at 2 got 2 3rd one couldn't get a shot. That's hunting.

Yea, as my old mentor once said, "it ain't target shooting". Always expect the unexpected.

Sure, I want to see some hogs and get a shot however these days, I just as much enjoy being out in the field, there is something "mentally cleansing" about it. A two-hog day for me is an A+ hunt given the lack of opportunities where I hunt due to overdevelopment and changes in farming practices here.

The older I get the more I enjoy hunting. The world is changing and I am not sure it is for the better.
