Slide hard to pull back on push button high standard.

My 103 supermatic trophy opens ok with the original barrel and snapped on an empty case. With an lsp barrel, it helps to push a cleaning rod into the case while pulling on the slide to get it open as it is sometimes impossible to pull it back otherwise. If the lsp barrel is on a 107 it opens normally.
Anyone heard of this?. Thanks.

What happens if you put downward pressure on the slide as you retract it ?
It retracts fine without firing , if so it sounds like your hammer is going to far possibly because the barrel is mounted too far foward . I has a supermatic that had an older aftermarket barrel on it and the location og the pin mount was incorrect.
