Ski Bipod off bench

Anybody shooting a bipod with skis off bench ? I shoot informal F open ( off bench w/ rest or bipod) and I just wanted to see how everybody is scoring with ski pod vs rest . I didn’t do terrible , but these guys with heavy rests are pretty good . I ended up with 399 27Xs. But there were (7) 400 !

Anytime you are shooting a Bi-pod against a "Rested" set-up , you will be at a slight dis-advantage . The heavy rested set-up is just more stable , and repeatable , as you are doing much more moving of your rifle before and after every shot , and the rested set-up is much more stationary .

I completely agree due to having used a heavy rest before . Call me different (I am) but I don’t like to do what everybody else does . It makes winning even better ! That’s also why I bought the Valdada pod . Figured it was the next best thing to a rest .

From the little bit of shooting I've done with my Mystic M-pod I believe I will like it. Still have to mount my carpet pads to my bench. Waiting for the temps to cool down a bit.

Ski feet bipod tracks better than the rubber feet but not really that much difference. Our rules only allow a foldable bipod in our Tactical class. Biggest issue with rubber feet is the concrete benches wear the feet down fairly quickly. Only issue with ski feet is if you angle the bipod, the feet on my bipod do not line up straight
