Site T-Shirt--First Peek at one Option

Jason has convinced me that we need to get T-shirts done, and he's heroically volunteered to handle all the hard logistics. We need to come up with a design. Being a Westerner I was thinking of a sand or tan color shirt, with Black on front and two colors on the back. Kind of neutral and would look good faded or new.

Then I asked myself, what is the most popular T-Shirt I've ever owned? It is a dark green shirt with HK,Heckler Koch) in really big Red letters, with white contrasting outlines. Whenever I wear that thing people stop me and ask "where'd you get that shirt--I want one." Anyway, here's a first stab at that color combo. If there's any interest we may order some samples and also a tan/black shirt. There are three variations of the shirt-back shown below, with and without contrasting outlines.

Under the site name in the back it says "Only accurate rifles are interesting." That's just one idea.

Below the shirt is a logo design I've come up with on the front. It doesn't show up well in the shirt photo, but I think the reticle design is thick enough to print fine full-size on the shirts, in either white or red,on green), or black,on tan).

Don't worry we're a long way from locking anything in, but I had a good initial feeling about this color combo. Curious if others agree.

Please--if you think this whole shirt thing totally sucks and I should go back to writing html night and day--then that's OK. But many, many people have expressed an interest in shirts. We're approaching the 3rd year anniversary of the site, so maybe it's time...

IMPORTANT: I am VERY VERY interested in knowing if people DO/Do NOT want the 6mmBR.com in the front. Maybe it's better to do "AccurateShooter.com" on both front and back.

All feedback welcome!!

I really like the idea of the shirt and i love the logo's just the way you have them, but i would like the sand or tan color you were talking about better . I will buy one no matter what color you decide on, just not much for green .:thumb:

I hear you--I have virtually no green in my wardrobe, but that one HK shirt I have, which is a very dark green) does look striking with the red and white letters. I've had one or two guys offer to buy it off my back... but then maybe they were HK fans.

Anyway, Here's a design with tan/sand color. Completely different look...

Also, based on what I've seen of the Hanes dark green is it actually more like this,,darker and less yellow):

this is the Hanes' "Deep Forest" in the Hanes catalog:

Lynn, I'll tinker with your design. My only worry is that if we have to go to an artist, $200-$300 could evaporate in a hurry. I don't have the design tools,Illustrator) to do some of the fancy stuff.

Do you mean sort of like this: but with one case turned around. It would have to run pretty big to read the headstamp:

Re the twin logos. I'm trying to push AccurateShooter as the most prominent site title, but many guys like the 6mmBR affliation and that's how the site started.

But it is interesting that I just released a big 6mmBR Cartridge Guide and its not attracting much interest--perhaps because it ain't difficult to make it work.

I like the all black on tan or all white on green...and keep the 6mm BR on the front.....just my humble opinion....I might wear one for my cover shot for GQ,,,hahah........Roger

The green/red/white really stands out...I like it...but I also like the more subdued tan...

Geez...looks like we need to do 2 colors :)

C'mon guys, tell us what you want!!

I personally like 6mmbr.com/front and AS.com back...and the logo is pretty cool...but Lynn's idea could be cool too...

To many years in the USMC to be wearing green again.
Tan or black and I'm in for the duration......
I DO like the 6br logo on the front.......

Somebody asked to see how it would look on a gray shirt. Here you go,this is 3-color, which would be more expensive to make):

I like three color or the black/ red on a white shirt. Not a big fan of the tan. Need the pocket for my extra rounds always on hand.

I like the logo as it is.

I hope the Tee shirts are offered in 3XXX and 4XXX as well as tall sizes.

I would buy more shooting Tee shirts but most places only have up to 2XX

I like the green the color contrast id much better than the tan.

The suggestion for tall sizes is a good one, or at least check out the samples and make sure they are long enough. I like the looks of the dark color with the outlined red on white, but adding extra colors raises the price. If they are good quality, long enough, and don't fade or shrink with washing $20 isn't to much for a shirt.
One downside about dark colors they are hotter in the summer sun that's why some guys like the tan but black is always a sharp color.

Make the "6mmBR.com" bigger. After all it is a Accurate Shooter!:D

With this particular company, online designs) the front image is limited in size. If we go to a custom printer we could go real big on the front, but again it all comes down to price/logistics. There are some printers in my home town but the customer has to supply the shirts and "camera-ready art", and pay a $120 "set-up fee". All that adds to the price.

Lynn,s bullet idea is pretty cool. I do like that.

My wife isn't good when faced with to many choices, so she always tells me "Give me about three choices, and I'll pick one from there". Count me in for one regardless of what you decide on.
