Hey-Yo!

Long time no speak...

Is it possible to bring the site width to 1024, it has become almost painful to read and the photo's in the daily column always extend beyond the visible area. I want to use my widescreen LCD a bit more to show your beautiful site.

Looking at my own sites, all but 2% of the visitor's use 1024 or higher resolution,60%+ are 1280 or over).

This is not meant as criticism, but only a positive idea for the future. You know me

Jim,

Unfortunately the site is on a template. If I change the width, we have only one choice, "unlimited", which means that every page in the site loses its right margin.

To view the Bulletin, View it on its OWN DEDICATED page. This is hosted on another server, so the margin can be wider.

I know where the link is. I've been using it to see the rest of the picturs Anyway to hack, euh modifiy, the php files?

The files are not .php. There is a master template, maybe .css that controls the width of ALL pages in the site. I don't have access to edit the .css or meta code to change width. As noted I can set width to "unlimited" but that would ruin the formatting of every page in the site unless I manually place all the content in tables, and with some of the sub-templates I don't have access to "body" html so I can't re-set the page width at all.

The solution is replacing templated pages with wider "normal html" pages delivered by a separate server. And that's the plan for the home page...

I tell you it would be so simple if the template company would just offer to have a 1024 width "option" that could be chosen on a page-specific basis. I have offered to PAY them $200.00/hour to modify their code. I have begged and begged for this change to no avail.
