I just found that bob sled makes a single shot loading block for accuracy international style bottom metal...

would this work for building a 6br on a remington 700 repeater action...??


because if we think it will work that leaves me the option open for a switch barrel and bifferent barrel set up kinda toy and be able to run a 6br easily out of the repeater action..

I don't have an aics bottom metal but I have a 700 with a single shot adaptor and it is 6br and .308 win. Works perfect!

whats this adapter you speak of as i am not savy with single shot stuff... like a single shot follower for a bdl style?

I modified a .223 AICS polymer mag to feed 6 BR/Dasher. These mags fit PTG bottom metals. Only caveat is that I use a shortened ejector spring. A full length ejector spring tends to force the cartridge to the right and create a problem. I believe that could be overcome with some creative Devcon work. I only wish that these mags were available in 4 or 5 round capacity. The 10 round mag will hold 6 of the BR cartridges and sticks out the bottom farther than I like.

You can get an AICS compatible shooting block from Gary Eliseo http://www.gotxring.com/finishes/. You insert it and release it like a mag but is a solid block. I use one for my tube gun, because during F/TR matches we're only permitted single shot loading.
