Grid conditions and new homes in my area have started creating problems with my charge weight accuracy and time spent reloading.
I am throwing gross weights from a RCBS ChargeMaster and doing the fine adjustments via a Dandy trickler and a Sartorius. This combo has worked great for years, but I believe line noise and voltage changes are the culprit.
I need repeatable accuracy to within one kernel, or less, for my shooting needs. No, it is not static or lighting or other electronics.
Please share your experience with line conditioners, and any advice.
Thanks in advance, Jack

I use a commercial line conditioner I bought on eBay used for my V4 / fx120i setup. Never had any problems when air conditioner or furnace kicks on.

Some of the little UPS units on the market have good conditioners built in. I have an older Tripp Lite UPS that solved some computer issues I was having.

Another issue to consider is thermal related. This time of year with the furnace cycling, I get a little bit of drift from my Chargemaster.

If you have new home construction in your area, I would definitely get a line conditioner!

The tools they use if electric can cause massive noise problems and have been known to cause surges.

I have the Tripp Lite unit from Amazon and a whole-house surge protector, (I think that's what it's called) installed. Never had any problems with my A&D 120i.

I looked at that unit. There are so many, this is harder to decide than it should be

I have a FX129i and V-3 . No more problems.

Good day,

Do any of the ones folks are recommending show whether they are compensating for over/under voltage conditions? Do they give a life expectancy if hit by over voltages? Will they display whether o not they can protect the circuit?

Hope this helps,

No they dont. The voltage out changes as the voltage in does. It protects against a spike like lightning, and some of these cheap transformers like the chinese wall warts have so much harmonic noise i cant believe sensitive electronics last as long as they do. The electronics are designed to be ran on smooth DC. As the AC on the lines change so does the DC out, the cheap rectifiers make it worse. A smooth constant supply can only be had from a battery

Even though that is a good unit, it is not a line conditioner. it has surge protection only. no line noise filtering.

Are you saying the scales don't have an internal voltage regulator to keep the voltage constant?
