Sinclair speed screw for a Caldwell Rock BR slingshot base?

The rear screw is threaded M10-1.5 and the speed screws are threaded either 3/8-16 or 1/2-20. Is it possible to re-thread the rear to either of those two sizes as a one piece rest is not in the cards, for me any way.

TIA,
Bill

After doing research, the dia. of the M10 screw is .393, so larger than the .375 of the 3/8 screw. Guess the 1/2-20 model is in my future.

I use the same rest with shade tree top. I put a lock nut above base like those on the front screws. I just use the rear screw like a speed screw. This rest is for military benchrest. I have a speed screw on a Greenlaw rest and once on target the small increment of elevation, once bags settle, seems to be enough. Maybe try before you click buy button. Anyway cheers happy shooting.

I think if you just run a tap in there youll find it works fine. It has a lock nut on it and will never need to move anyway
