Sinclair/L.E. Wilson Case Trimmer

I buy the Wilsons used on EBay then set them up permanently for each cartridge. Be sure to get the power adapter. I use them in conjunction with a Black and Decker rechargeable power screwdriver. Cranking that trimmer for even 50 cases sucks, and changing the adjustment is a pain, hence I use multiple trimmers and love them. You can find them used for as little as 25 bucks and with the power screwdriver a stand is unnecessary

Someone is selling a pair for $60 and $10 shipping up for sale on Ebay as I type this.

You can use your caliper and measure where the adjustment rod is. Write it down for each cartridge and it is easy to change from one to another. Matt

I bought the Wilson for $63 from Brunos

I believe that is for one trimmer - the second of two the seller had, assuming it's item

Apologies then . I may have read it wrong and if so that's too much for just one used. I nabbed my last one for 25 shipped, it had some cosmetic surface rust. If I needed another 35 or so is about as high as I would go

Get with the Sinclair upgrades, i.e. the mounting stand and handle. For bottle rifle cartridges it's terrific. Very precise and easy to use. I love mine especially with the carbide cutter. I wouldn't waste money on the micrometer adjuster, it's not necessary.

However it's not an efficient tool for trimming pistol (straight wall, i.e 357 mag etc.) cases but it can be done with their special collet although it's cumbersome to use. For pistol I use a Lyman trimmer.

Getting ready to purchase my first case trimmer and want to get it correct the first time.

What are your thoughts on this trimmer? https://www.brownells.com/reloading/case-preparation/case-trimming/case-trimmers/l-e-wilson-stainless-micro-trimmer-platform-kit-prod45573.aspx?avs|Manufacturer_1=sinclair/l.e.+wilson

Is there anything else as good or better for about the same money?

Thank you.
I like the Wilson because you can also get tools like primer pocket reamers for it to take the crimp out of military brass. I tried an inside reamer but didn't get good results. But put a power driver on it and there's no excise for not having uniform cases anymore.

I use the basic Wilson trimmer and the appropriate case holder,
It cuts perfectly every time.
I just put it in a small bench vise away you go. It's not real fast however they do a great job.
Jim
Check with Brunos shooting supply for the best price on Wilson tools
