Does this tool just bottom out on the inside of the web when it is used or does it use the case mouth guide to control depth?

You may want to look at the K&M tool it has a tapered guide so you do not have to purchase caliber specific pilots. It does bottom out on the inside of the case.

I have both tools described and several others as well and no matter if there cal specific pilots or tapered guides they are what determines your depth of cut, thats why it is a must to trim your cases prior to deburing flash holes so each cut is uniform!

The generation II deburring tool from Sinclair did not work for me like they advertise in the catalog. It does not work like the instructions included with the tool. It is supposed to index on the inside of the base instead of on the case neck. Using it as directed, it cut a huge chamfer on the flash hole and ruined my cases. After bringing the problem up with Phil at Sinclair, he said that he would look at the instructions and get back to me. He never did. If you are looking for a flash hole deburring tool that saves you the trouble of uniforming case length first, this is not it. Have a look at the K&M tool instead.
