Sinclair Front Rest - What to carry it in?

I picked-up a BR front rest (35#)this winter, what do you guys carry that around in? I would think you would have something to keep in clean in. Like a toolbox or heavy canvas bag?

Would it fit in here?

Someone used to make a triangular shaped box out of sheet metal. Had a lockable lid, too. I think Sinclair used to sell them but couldn't find it on the site. Asked a rep at Brownell's via chat and he said they could special order it once they find the source. Maybe somebody at Benchrest Central can help you find the manufacturer or a used one.

I don't believe in adding weight and bulk size to an item that is already heavy and large. As mentioned, I went to a sewing shop & had a canvas bag made, the size of a pillow case. My Sinclair Gen 2 with the windage top fits perfectly, stays dry and clean. Twist the open end tight, wrap it around the rear leg, and use either a piece of rawhide or heavy duty rubber band to keep it closed tight. Also takes up minimal space both in transportation and storage. Another example of "keep it simple".

Yrs ago I bought an alum set of 3(fit inside of ea other) tool luggage cases from a truck stop. Several "loops" that hold tools. Perfect size, cheap, and I still use it today.
