Silver Mountain out of business

We will continue our business (SMT-USA) for a short time to support existing customers and provide spare parts and repairs.

Looks like the NRA picked the wrong horse to bet on.
This is a sad development due to the fact that competition spurs innovation.

Bummed for Dave & Steve

NOTICE: SILVER MOUNTAIN TARGETS HAS MADE THE FOLLOWING INDUSTRY ANNOUNCEMENT

Silver Mountain Targets Canada Ltd has ceased manufacturing. While no new lanes will be made, existing customers can expect continued support from their dealers, and ongoing availability of maintenance/replacement parts (e.g. antennas, cables, mounting brackets, etc). https://www.silvermountaintargets.com/

Our company, Silver Mountain Targets USA, the U.S. dealer for these target systems, has a significant stock pile of spare parts, and will have the ability to repair T-SOLO and F-SOLO units, as well as sensor assemblies, for the foreseeable future. We expect to be able to keep existing customers operating for a significant period of time.

Since Dave and Steve have ISRPA set up with a line of SMT Solo's for Camp Atterbury and the release states they have components for our Solo systems (yes still have my Solo-been going strong for years) they can keep going with the SMT system at NRA Nationals I would expect.

CIHPRS switched their SMT over to ShotMarker but they are not being used at NRA Nats.

If BigDaddy is who I think you are? I expect you know all this. But If you're not the Big Daddy I know, you may not.

Ill keep my Solo and call Dave S if I need a part. I would not expect any new range setups with SMT however if how I read the announcement. I have yet to talk to Dave about things yet.
Its a sad day for those guys given all the effort they put into the business.

It's not the Big Daddy your thinking of :) but yes I do know all of that :)

Our club just switched from silver mountain to Shotmaker.

Still have Silver mountain running along with Shotmarker. All 52 targets are on shotmaker and 32 on silver mountian.

Lets hope the Service is for a long period time ? Not a year or two. :(
We have been trying to get repair service on our Silver Mountain target for many months now. SM keeps telling us that our unit is one of the first production runs and they may not have the parts to Repair! I feel their customer service is lacking here.

Thanks John. On a more timely topic, how're you making out after the Blow?

That wont be a problem in the future I am betting. I would be very surprised if there is a Nationals at Atterbury by the NRA in the future, keeps getting smaller and smaller and smaller.
