Silhouette Feature in Daily Bulletin

A lot of good information and videos about silhouette shooting in the bulletin. Various games played at various clubs around the world for those interested. I find it odd that Ridgway, Pennsylvania wasn’t mentioned. They shoot hi power, smallbore, have they own VBR variation as shown on Shooting USA. As well as lever action, military, black powder, cowboy, and smallbore 200 meters variations. They hold National, regional matches and club shoots regularly for a variety of disciplines. Check them out if you are close by and like to watch targets fall.

I shot Hunter Pistol Small Bore Silhouette in Western PA in the late 70's to mid 80's. Its most fun I ever had shooting competition. Practical too. It was very popular back then; you shoot each weekend since several clubs sponsored matches. I wish they had it here in eastern PA. I would seriously consider getting back into the game.

This story was a "Saturday at the Movies" feature. We showcase 6 to 9 videos every Saturday. I had not found a good video from Ridgway when this video showcase was originally created.

Good to see Silhouette getting some love.

Erich Mietenkorte, whose videos are included in this feature, is a real ambassador for the sport and a good guy to boot.

If you're a Silhouette shooter, Ridgway is just about as close to a "Mecca" of a club as you can get. Love shooting there when Nationals is there (every other year).

Get out and shoot some Silhouette on your feet instead of laying on your belly or sitting on your butt!
