Sika deer in Rep of Ireland

Sika deer season started in September unusually warm even for Ireland we had 3 cold morning in 2 months but 27 wet days in the first 2 months . Sika deer like the wet weather but when your guiding people euphoria never hunted sika before it can be tough experience shows and takes its toll on hunters still good to get out some deer pics will upload more shortly

What do they dress out at? I ask because we have them here where I live in northwest Washington state in the San Juan islands and a big one will dress out at 80 lbs. most average 50# i say we have them But what I meant was we have a butt load of them, they are lIke rats here …….most I have taken have been with a .45 pistol……

Hi lowland sika can be 65 kg dressed out were hill sika back down to 35 to 40 kg

That's because sika have intramuscular fat unlike other deer species
