Signature required yeah right.

Got emails 4 times that I had a package coming that required a signature. So I stayed home all day beautiful weather, sunny, 52 degrees light breeze, could have gone shooting.
UPS dropped the package at the door after 5 no signature and off the driver went.
Well at least I have my n130 (8 lbs.), now I start on primers.

Be glad UPS left it. FedEx will try a couple of times and then take it back to the seller. Shipping to be paid twice (by me). It took me a while to come up with a list but all my ammo, reloading, and other gun stuff comes via UPS. If a vendor ships via FedEx I won't buy from them. FedEx can play hide and seek with someone else.

Several times FED-X has stated a signature was required but packages left at front door without one.

Had Fedex drop off a rifle on my dealers front porch on a Sunday afternoon. Nobody was home so I'm not sure who signed for it.
This happen quite regularly here. I am to the point of telling guys mail or UPS only.

Yeah. I'm surprised there isn't a class action law suit against fedex and ups for not getting a signature when needed. Hell, fedex left 2 m1 garands on my front porch even though CMP requires a signature on delivery. UPS does the same thing

I would swear FedEx hires high school dropouts and pays minimum wage to their delivery drivers. Around here you can tell they are using some kind of GPS device rather than an address and drop the packages where the GPS says to rather than where the actual address is. They are frequently not on the correct block much less near the correct address. Frustrating for sure.

Years ago had a couple 8lb. jugs of powder coming my way with a required signature from FedEx. Tracking showed that the package was delivered but nothing was left at my front door. I made a phone call to FedEx with concerns of the neighborhood kids running around with my powder. 15 minutes later the driver called and told me he hid the package on my back porch. Not sure if he got in trouble or not but I‘m glad that I found my powder back there.

Had an order of primers delivered by Fedex this week that required a signature. They did not deliver on first attempt because no one was home. My daughter was there fortunately on the second attempt to sign. The option of changing delivery locations or FedEx holding for a pickup was not available for this shipment. I’ll be doing something different next time around.

I had a McMillan stock that was to be delivered signature required. I also had a powder order coming at the same time. I waited all rainy day with my front door open so I could see the driver pull up. I also have a doorbell camera that alarms when somebody walks up my drive. Before I could get out of my recliner and make it to the front door, my powder was sitting in the rain before the first step of my porch and no stock to be found. I got an e-mail saying the stock was not delivered due to "no answer at the door". The jerk didn't even try. Then I got the runaround at their drop-off location that is run by a third party. Its a sad state of affairs how businesses run these days.

If you experience any issues like those stated above please call the shipper. They do take complaints like this very seriously. Any driver dropping off "Adult Signature Required" or "Signature Require" without obtaining a signature is going to be in trouble up to and including termination. If it's a firearm or hazmat pretty sure they'd be gone that day.

These rules did not apply during COVID, but they are back in place now.

I'm retired, but work part-time for one of these shippers just to get out of the house and to keep busy. I've also experienced pretty much every situation described above.

One day I was expecting a delivery of sliding door blinds from Home Depot. I watched as the driver dropped the package off at the mailbox. Well, by the time he turned around I was standing in the middle of the road waiting for him. Boy, was he surprised. I reminded him that it is against company policy to leave packages at a person's mailbox under normal situations(exceptions being a dog out, unplowed driveway, etc). On top of that the box was seriously damaged and partially opened and it should never have been loaded in the truck in that condition.

Unfortunately, there are bum employees everywhere. Guessing we don't even want to know what happens in the kitchen to the food we order these days.

The last few times I've had powders delivered (sig.req) UPS drivers just took a picture with their phone and left. I happened to be outside at the neighbors and watched him. Never even went to the door.
