Sightron scope dilema

Bought a new sightron s111 10 x 50 a month ago, went to the range and could group 3 bullets touching, next 3 would pull 2 inches right and 2 inches low and still touching . After several hours and wasted rounds i found that the ocular ring was moving, so much that at 200 yards i could move the dot 10 inches in all directions, it seems that the threads were were very loose. Sent it back and got a replacement. I received the replacement yesterday and mounted it on my rifle to find the same problem. To me it is a design fault in these scopes as there is no locking screw on the ocular ring. Has anyone else had this problem? . My only remedy was to put a cable tie around the ring and tighten the ocular knob until it went up against the bell tight.

I've got the 10x50 LRTD and have had no issues with it for over a year on my 6BR. Have you called them to discuss the problem. E-mail sometimes leaves a LOT to be desired. Good luck and I hope you can get the issue resolved.

Yes i have contacted the RFD i bought it off and he says he has never heard of this problem before and he himself is very dissapointed, i cannot load a picture for some reason , if i could it would explain it better.

No jonbearman , i put a small mark on the original scope before it went away to ensure i would recognize it if they sent it back without changing it.

I have a 10-50 as well. I hadn't really noticed there was no lock ring on the ocular. I have my scope mounted to where I had to screw it all the way in. I just checked it if I screw it out the threads do appear to loosen up the further I screw it out.
