Sightron lll 10 x 50 x 60 Vs Leupold competition 45 x 45 for BR only shooting ?

Has anyone shot both of these scopes for BR only ? How would you compare them ?

Thanks for your thoughts !

Dave

If youre talking short range br go with the leupold. A variable is too heavy and there hasnt been a sightron on the line in many many years

36x TO 45X Leupold are sure in vogue at benchrest shoots.
You can have big problems with a 45x fixed scope at 200y when mirage gets heavy, sure nice to be able to turn power back with a variable power scope

Yes, I have owned and shot competitive BR Rimfire with both scopes. I sold the Leupolds and currently have two of the Sightrons. The Sightrons have a much larger objective, are brighter and you have the advantage of dialing back on the magnification when mirage becomes an issue. The only scope I would trade my Sightrons for is a Nightforce Competition but they are very pricey.
