Sightron 8x32x56

I have a new SIII in 8x32x56. looking for more power for target, what are my options, who has a good glass in more power besides spending dollars for a 42X nightforce, how is the Leupold 40x

Other than a fixed power, good luck. There is a premium for quality high power variable. Be careful you may find yourself sacrificing things like clarity, tracking/mechanical performance and lastly warranty. Those sightron's have us spoiled I think.

Both the Leupoldl 40x and 45x Comp. ones are nice if you'd be happy with 45mm Obj. lens, I like the older Premier Boosted Leupolds in 20x-50x-50mm, even the 30x-50x are great for target work. They are available used in both 1' and 30mm tubes for less money than the Sightrons or the Nightforce and still carry the life time warranty through Premier.
Then theres March if you really want power.....

I want to pass on information as of 04-27-09. for you fellows wanting high power magnification. This is from Alan at Sightron, the 10-50x60 is proposed to be available by approx October of this year. It will have reticle choices,UNK VARIETY). MARCH scope owners are going to like this. The prototype in the 10-50 according to Alan,exceeded the brightness and clarity of the MARCH in direct comparison testing. Speculation on pricing is around $1,000.00 Retail. Start saving your pennies, Oct is not that far away. If I learn more, I will post it. Larry in western Ky.

Thanks for that heads up Larry! Good news. I want to get a 6x24x50 from you for my 7RM elk rifle. That 10x50x60 would look great on the 22.250. I sent you an email this morning re: the 6x24. Please post when you know about the new ones. Thanks!
