curious if there is a fake Sightron model 25138, i found one at a low price ad says new. should i bite.

That would be the 10x50x60mm with target dot reticle.

yes, i know what reticle, but the very low price is puzzling me. guy is selling them for 699.00 was just wondering if there were imitations floating around

Never seen a new one that low either. Normally +$900.
See it says "A brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged item in its original packaging"

I saw a Leupold Mark 4 scope for sale on Ebay that made my eyes go wide...it was a 6-24x50 model going for $400-ish. Never heard of that before!

The seller got about 6 bidders on the scope, then later added one word to the item description: "replica"

That's not even an accurate replica!!!

Has anyone here purchased one of these scope off this guy? He is on ebay and is selling 10 X 50 SIII scopes for $699. He has 77 reviews.

I asked him if they are legit scopes any truly Sightron SIII and his response was yes (OF COURSE HE SAID THAT) LOL

I asked how he could sell a scope at a price below dealer cost. His response was i did a large buy last year and im not looking to get rich just move product.

I then asked if he would call me to discuss and SILENCE.. No response No call

They may truly be brand new Sightron SIII scopes and are possibly a great deal. I am not stating that they are not legit but am being cautious before spending $699.My instinct is if its too good to be true walk away..

I would love to hear from anyone who has dealt with this seller.

A couple weeks ago I received a new 25144, Mildot version. I assume from the seller you are talking about. Real thing, new in box. I have two other SIII's, 10-50x60 and 8-32x56. This new one must be from new stock as it came with the Sightron scopecoat and not old crappy old flip up caps.

Did they all come from the same seller on eBay? Have you ever checked the serial numbers with Sightron?

This is the only scope I purchased from this seller. No did not check with Sightron. If it's a knock off it's pretty good. Could read a street sign off tripod at over 1/2 mile away?

FYI, The adjustment detent (clicks) are not quite as crisp as my other 10-50x60, but it's a newer model with the zero stop. About the same as my older 8-32x56.
