sightron 10X50X60

Bought a Sightron III here. I can not get it to focus. When the side focus is at infinity, I must turn it down to 30X or lower just to see the 1" orange dot. Even then it is not clear at 300 yard. I should be able to see the black diamond in the middle. AT 50X there is no hope. Any hints on what to do.

Mine has more than one place where it will try to focus. If the spot you're in isn't clear enough, keep turning it until you find the next spot. It's going to be touchy even when you do find it.

There real touchy just tiny bit to far either way and it's goes out. Tiny movements once it gets close.

Just like a lot of scopes, the parallax adjustment is horribly small.
If you still think theirs still a problem, call Sightron.
Great company to deal with.

I assume you adjusted the ocular as usually suggested, for reticle clarity on a blank background with parallax set on infinity? Once you get the best parallax at 300yd on the target, try fine tuning with the ocular. Then repeat fine tuning with minor parallax and ocular tweaks. If that doesn't work get a return authorization from Sightron and send it to them for correction and general cleaning at no charge and with a short turnaround time.

My real worry is that I used up almost all of the focus to get to 300. What happenes at 600 or 1,000 during a match.
