sig sauer scopes

Had a chance to look through them in a Cabela's store back in November. Compared the Whiskey 3 & 5 to a Nikon Prostaff 5 & 7 and a Leupold VX6 and a Zeiss Conquest HD5 all in the 3-15x42-44 or so range.
The Leupold was the sharpest of the bunch with the Whiskey 5 in 'second' closely followed by the Zeiss. The prostaff & then the Whiskey 3 and finally the Prostaff 5.

I ended up finding a great deal on a Whiskey 5 3-15x44 and have it on a stock Tikka T3 308. The 'clicks' are very well defined, you can really tell how many clicks you move the reticle. Glass has been about the same as my Zeiss Conquest HD5 3-15. The 'turrets' allow you to set your scope to zero once it's sighted in on both windage and elevation.
I have taken it outside after dark to see how well it does in low/no light situations and again, it's right up there with the Zeiss and my older Swarovski Habicht.
All in all, I'll be getting some more of them as they come up.

I'd still like to do a tall target test with the scope. I've 'boxed' a target and it came right back to zero as a good scope should.

I used the high end Tango 6 in 5 x 30 power up to 1300 yards without problems. The 6 is quite a bit more of scope than the Tango 4 and 5's which have had some problems.

The 6 is first focal plane, has zero stop, (mine is mil/mil) is a fairly light first class piece of optics. Glass is comparable to others in its price range but the construction is superior imho.

Over the Holidays opticsplanet was selling Tango6 scopes cheap. I bought a couple of models for 713.00, it was a good deal and I was curious. They are very clear, very repeatable, very heavy. I think they are a very good scope that hasn't caught on yet.
