Sierra 60 gr TMK?

Does anyone have experience with Sierra 60 gr TMK on varmints from prairie dogs up to coyotes? These have a good BC for their weight. Thinking of trying some. I would think they would explode pretty good being tipped.

Currently shoot 53vmax, but in 4 guns, all 8 twist, the accuracy is meh. 20 shot groups are generally 1 moa avg.

I have shot quite a few at prairie dogs and coyotes. They are one of my favorites for coyotes out of a 223 or 22-250. They rarely splash or exit.

This year I am dedicating one of my 22-250s to shoot only the 60 TMK at prairie dogs. I have one for the 53 V-Max and another I just built for the 69 gr. TVK. 2 with a 12 twist for the 53 and 60 and one a 10 twist for the 69. I have found the 53 is super accurate from my 12 twist barrels.

I have been shooting the 60 TMK since they came out, on a limited basis. I only shoot them in areas where there is a back stop. I haven't experienced a lot of ricochets but it does occasionally happen so I am careful. With that said, they usually have a different effect on prairie dogs than the 53 V-max. The TMK will open them up and "drive" them off the mound in the direction of the bullet. It is more like hitting them with a golf club than blowing them up vertically. Can be very entertaining.

That sounds pretty good! Ricochet isn't a big concern here. Its just sagebrush for hundreds of miles around me! My 223 ai is limited by the factory tikka mag, or I would try an ELD-VT or something in the 69+ range.
