Sierra 308 110-135 gr MK/bt for what purpose?

I somehow ended up with a bunch of new Sierra bullets in weights from 110 gr to 150 gs. I’ve never loaded 308 W below 168 grns. What do folks load these light 308 bullets for?

300 blackout. Or light service rifle M1 loads. Varmint load. In that order is my guess.

110-135s for M1a short line ammo. Shot a few rapid fire cleans with them at 2 and 3.

Sierra makes a 135 for the BK. Run it slow in the 308 and it is a great reduced recoil coyote slapper. The MK versions could possibly be used in the 30 caliber score game

Thanks for the ideas...maybe I’ll load a few with h4895 and see how they shoot...might be good AR10 fodder...

The 135 is good in 30 cal service rifles up to 300. I use 41.5g IMR 4064 and in my M1A they shoot well.

Not ashamed to admit I've shot a couple F-Class matches with 135 SMKs.

Why? Cause lighter bullets teach you to read the wind better.

A bunch of years ago, when I got started in this hobby, I was stuck shooting at 100 with a 308. I shot a lot of 125s. They were cheaper than the 168 . Shoot them easy or scream them. They shot well. My shoulder liked the milder loads and the target didn’t seem to care.
