I have gotten noticeably better "consistent" results with the 53 Flat Base Sierra MatchI have 52gr HPBT Matchkings and 53gr HPFB Matchkings.
Which of these will be more accurate at 100-200ys at 222Rem velocities?
Thank you. Very helpful. That's what I was looking for, and what I suspected.I have gotten noticeably better "consistent" results with the 53 Flat Base Sierra Match
in several different calibers from 223 to 22 BR
53 Sierra Match are a good go to bullet as a 2nd choice
Berger 52's are a good first choice and will dominate a Sierra 53
Speer 50 grn TNT's or Nosler 55 grn Varmint are my favorite 3rd choice
Shown 1st is a 3 shot group testing 55 Noslers
Shown 2nd is a 3 shot group testing 50 grn TNT's

Not bad in my book for 3rd choice bullets if you don't have any 52 Bergers on hand
Thank you. What twist was your Shilen? When I had my Shilen barreled 222, the Sierra 52 grain shot the best.
If I remember correctly, it was a 1-14”Thank you. What twist was your Shilen?
