sierra 130gr TMK

I tested these in my 26" Bartlein .260rem. Accuracy was excellent but I would only use them if they are all you can get your hands on. With their low BC compared to ELD-M, SMK, Scenars, Bergers you can gut a much higher BC bullet for your money.

The common word up here at Camp Perry among people that have tried the TMKs is the accuracy is disappointing. This is with the .30cals but I'm guessing the same holds true for the TMKs (aks Sierra Amax bullets.....)

I believe that their is a misconception on the new TMK's. Many believe its the same bullet as the old SMKs and that the seating depths can be the same. The NEW TMK's are a secant o-give which behave like a VLD. Berger has already busted the VLD seating depth mystery. They have a seating depth test posted right on their website.

i found my node at .085 jump using the 168gr TMK's

In my 62 + years of shooting I always have had my best accuracy out of all my rifles when the bullets were seated with varying amounts of bullet jump. Never found the accuracy node when the bullets were seated into the lands. This has also been the case with my own VLD and tangent ogive bullets. But I'm using medium burning rate powders.

I believe with slow powders you may have to put the bullet into the lands. Warren Page
pointed this out in his book "The Accurate Rifle".
