Sierra 123 Grain 6.5mm Pointed Projectiles

Anyone shooting these? Results? I am thinking of trying these to replace my Lapua 123 Scenar Ls. Thoughts?

I'd get a box of 100 and check them out before buying a large lot?
Other than price point, why are you thinking about switching?

One year while shooting a 6.5 x 47 for F-Open, I shot the 123 SMKs, which at that time were NOT pointed. They shot very well. I do not know if the "new" 123SMKs have been "redesigned" like the new 110s, 150s, and 183s. I certainly hope they have not been. I can not get any of the aforementioned SMKs to shoot well enough for competition. The "old" 123s shot as well or better than the 123 Scenars did! I do not know if that is still the case. Take @Bc'z advice and give them a shot with a 100 pack!

I shoot the "new" 123 SMK in my 6.5-47L HG barrel. They have given excellent results with both RL16 and H4350. Not terribly finicky on seating depth and group well. They performed much better for me than the Scenar. Your results may vary.

It wasn't about price. I shot last year and the year before with Andy at Williamsport and he was using Sierra 107s in his 6mmx47 and hand pointing them and then last year they had those available pointed. I was going to buy a Metplat Trimmer and Pointing die but then thought maybe I would try these new pointed 123s. They are on sale at Midway, but that was not what prompted this.
